Monday
Welcome to Bedlam Workshop (12pm-1pm, free)
Come find out what Bedlam Theatre is all about, take a tour of the building and discover how you can get involved in the coming year!
“Bats” (2pm - 3pm, £2)
This piece of new writing from Edinburgh University Theatre Company tells the story of a stalker invading the life of a couple recovering from their past. A new haunting drama about survival, stalking & snow.
Tech Workshop (4pm - 5pm, free)
Come along to the Bedlam for an introduction to lighting, sound, and other technical aspects of theatre. No prior experience necessary.
“No Exit” (7pm - 8.30pm, £2)
A man and two women come to hell: "Alone, none of us can save himself or herself; we're linked together inextricably. So you can take your choice." Come and see this Jean-Paul Sartre play, and get a taste of the theatre that takes place at Bedlam.
Improverts Tech (9:30pm - 10.30pm, free)
Imps tech is a chance to get involved with Edinburgh’s longest running improvised comedy troupe, the Improverts, where all the fun is - behind the scenes. Imps Tech is a great place to start if you’ve never teched a show before, but also a great place for experienced technicians to experiment and learn more - with the added bonus of being able to watch the show for free!

Edinburgh's resident improv comedy troupe return for their third decade at the Bedlam Theatre. Come and watch hilarious games based entirely on your suggestions, creating a whole different show every night!

“Shakespeare’s Fools” (2pm - 3pm, £2)
The EUSC shall be performing a showcase of 'Shakespeare's Fools', as explored in their weekly workshops; bringing Shakespeare's text to life with a new energy and rigour.
Writing Workshop (4pm - 5pm, Free)
An informal workshop covering some of the basics for stage writing. No prior experience necessary.

Come and see this sharply-written sketch comedy from Out the Window theatre company, written by students and performed during this year’s Fringe Festival.

Tour (11.30pm - 12pm, free)
Interested about joining the Edinburgh University Theatre Company? Then you should come along and have a look around Bedlam Theatre, where we are based. On this guided tour you’ll find our how our student-run theatre operates, learn a bit about the building’s history and have the opportunity ask any questions you like about taking part in theatre at Edinburgh University.
Movement in Performance Workshop (12.30pm - 1.30pm, free)
A fun, informal introduction the use of physical theatre and movement in performance, useful for any budding actor or director wishing to enhance their repertoire. No prior experience necessary.
“Heads” (2.30pm - 3.30pm, £2)
A woman torn between her love for two men, one for his mind the other for his physique, who yet abhors their deficits, forces them to switch heads to create the perfect man… A dark comedy with harsh bathos technique.
Directing Workshop (4pm - 5pm, free)
Come along for an informal chat on everything involved in theatre directing from casting to curtain calls & beyond. No prior experience necessary.

Youth Project Workshop (12.30pm - 1.30pm, free)
Interested in getting involved in giving fun theatre workshops for children in schools? Then come along and find out more about The Bedlam Youth Project, and join us in our first workshop on how to work with children.
Stage Combat Workshop (2pm - 3pm, free)
Learn the basics of stage combat - how to fight convincingly and safely. No experience necessary, and loose fitting clothes are advisable.
Fringe Exhibition (4pm - 5pm, free)
You’ve probably heard of the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and during the summer, several societies from the University get involved. During August, Bedlam Theatre becomes Venue 49 - home to some amazing drama - and this is your chance to come along and find out about how we run a professional theatre during summer.
Shakespeare Workshop (7pm - 8pm, free)
An informal workshop to provide a taste of what the E.U. Shakespeare Company will be offering in weekly workshops throughout the year. This will include focusing on specific texts, ensemble work, language and all other aspects of performing Shakespeare's works.

The Improverts invite you to come and play! In this fun, informal workshop you'll have the chance to meet the players, learn some of their skills and even play some games from the show. All are welcome, absolutely no experience necessary, just come along and have a go!

Freshers’ Play Sign-up (2pm - 6pm, free)
Come and sign up to take part in Freshers' Play 2010! We're looking for budding actors, producers, stage managers, techies and graphic designers to create, produce, stage, tech and design this year's production. All levels of experience are welcome, so whether you're looking to tread the boards for the first time or you've got your own lighting desk, come along and join in the fun!
