Indoor Hallkeeper Guidelines
Tidy and hoover the auditorium (DO NOT hoover up nails or things that will damage the hoover!) Empty the bins and get new bin liners from the cleaning cupboard in the boys' toilets.Check with your duty manager if there is a special announcement, before the auditorium opens.
Sit by the auditorium door when the building is open, when the duty manager opens the house, collect ticket stubs checking the DATE and SHOW. Keep the left-hand side of the ticket stubs (the side WITHOUT the terms and conditions on the back). Make sure to turn off the music in the toilet corridor by the switch above the left corner of the auditorium doors in the toilet corridor.
Your duty manager will come to close the door so the show can start, give them the ticket stubs enter the auditorium and make the show announcement, if there is one.
Sit in the indoor hall keeper seat and intercept latecomers to ensure they have a ticket (they will usually be accompanied by the duty manager who will give you a thumbs up to show they have tickets.) Quietly point them to/help them find seats.
After the show, open the auditorium door until the audience is clear, then reclose the doors. Encourage people to leave the auditiorium quickly (especially if there is an interval, in which case follow the same procedure and make sure the auditorium is cleared quickly. People cannot remain in the auditorium during an interval)
Once the building is closed clear up the auditorium.
